What a mess - hematoma

Gosh, I am so sorry. I know you may not want to, but you may need to go elsewhere. You can always change docs. That's what they are there for, look around you'll find someone. I have been blessed with a great doc who cares and it's a blessing!!! s

Elphie, I live close to you but not close enough to where I could come help but believe me, I would if I could. I feel bad about whining about how tired and sore I feel when you are in so much more pain...

Elphie---
I feel bad for you. Do you have a family MD who you can talk to & see if they can help you? Can you call the hospital & see if the Gyn surgeon on call or one of the hospital Dr.'s can help. Also it may be time to call a friend that is a MD that may know someone that can help.

Feel better!!

What a mess - hematoma

Hi there!

I'm so sorry you're going through this. I don't know if you've read my hematoma saga, but I can tell you I completely understand and appreciate how little fun you're having right now.

I asked my doctor why it hurt so much, and she said that blood was very irritating -- whatever that means. Of course, my hematoma was very large (19.4 cm. at its largest) and it actually sat right along my incision line in front of my abdominal wall. But really, size doesn't necessarily indicate how uncomfortable it is. (I know, for example, that very small fibroids often cause even more pain and bleeding than the very large ones. Go figure. )

I hope the size of yours indicates that it is resolving on its own. Just keep watching yourself for signs of infection, and try to hang in there. We're all here for you.

This is kinda scarying me and making me cry as well...silly i guess. I just posted about these hematomas I have. They have been causing so much pain (i am 2 weeks post op) and discomfort especially when it comes to my BM's (screams) and even the smallest amount of gas I have. One of the 4 is actually 9.56 cm. I only know this because I watched the ultrasonagrapher measure it. The other ones are much smaller. I have to wait after the weekend to hear from my doc...but I feel your pain, and mine, and the persons next door...i hate it and is making me frustrated and cry. I don't know the outcome and am quite scared that with the very large one I will have to have them surgically remove it...which makes me even angrier

Mine was very small and went away in about two weeks. It felt like a burning ember. Good luck.

awww ((elphie))! I am so sorry you're going through what you've been. It will eventually get better. Sometimes the waters will be rough during the storm, but eventually there is smooth sailing..so hold on to that thought.

I am not sure about meds for this...other sisters will be able to answer since I don't have experience with this.

You hang in there..ok?
