Laurtek, I assume by this question you kept your cevix and ovaries and that's what you're worried about? I can almost pretty much fully confidently say, NO you won't get pregnant. I don't see how. Yes, the Cervix still has endometrium tissue: you can still have mini-periods, still have mild cramping, still get fibroids growing on the cervix tissue.
BUT: the end of the cervix where the uterus used to be is sewn shut so the egg from the ovary has no way of getting to the endometrial tissue nor has a way to be fertilized. And the cervix doesn't have the necessary structures to support a pregnancy. The fallopian tubes you hear about connecting ovaries and uterus are cut and tied off as well.
The eggs are released into the abdominal cavity and are just reabsorbed by the body. They don't go into the cervix or vagina at all.
I'm surprised your Dr. didn't explain all this FULLY before your procedure. I urge you at your next appointment to ask him to sit down with you and FULLY explain what he did and what it means. If you don't understand something he's talking about, STOP him and ask him to re-explain it another way until you do understand. If any of what I said doesn't make sense, you're also welcome to ask for another clairification.
I hope this helps set your mind at ease about at least that issue. Take it easy, relax and good healing! LJC
PS: and NO that's not me in the avatar picture. I'm goofy but not quite brave enough to go around with pink hair. This picture just appealed to my warped sense of humor.
