When it rains it POURS!

Wednesday started out with discomfort on the left side of my mouth where I had 2 root canals. Thursday I couldn't wait to get home from work b/c of the pain. I thought maybe it was a bruised gum and it was inflamed so did the salt water rinses that didn't work today I woke up to "Aunt Flow" and spent from 10:10 to 2:45 in not just one dentist chair but I warmed 3 of them between those hours. I ended up having a molar extracted b/c it was fractured. OMG IF ever that has to happen, THEY WILL KNOCK MY BUTT OUT! SO MUCH PAIN I forgot whatever discomfort Flow brought with her. Each doctor was great and I told them that I didn't want anything to disrupt my surgery Tuesday. Each assured me that I would be fine and I would be able to continue with it and that it was better to have this done so I didn't have any infection going in to the operation.
When I got home I call my OB and told her nurse about the dentist visit and she said that with the antibiotics I'm just a head of the game and that my surgery was still on.
THANK YOU!!!
Bonus I got a toothbrush, floss, mouth wash and toothpaste in a little plastic case. and a nice pen so I can take notes.

Re: When it rains it POURS!

Have you noticed more dental problems with your female problems?
I've spent about $2000 at the dentist since my tubal ligation, when everything 'downstairs' started to go downhill. Last year I had a cracked molar and a root canal, then had to have all my wisdom teeth removed. I'm in my 30s and my wisdom teeth had been fine since they came in!

Good luck with your upcoming surgery and hopefully nothing else weird will happen between now and then!
