My Urologist appt....

So I went to my Urologist appt today and he said my urine was Crystal clear , and that I am doing good...I told him I am having really bad bladder spasms and he said it is very normal after hysterectomy to experience them for atleast 3-4 months..UGH! He said I am doing good and only need to return to him on a PRN basis! One less doctor to deal with and spend my money on..LOL! I am having all of the symptoms of a UTI...I am sick of it! SO , I guess I just deal with it for the next few months..

Re: My Urologist appt....

Glad to hear that you're clear of infection, even though it feels like you're not. I also had the bladder spasms. They subsided after a few weeks. I am having some other issues, but we're trying to take care of them with medication. We'll see how it goes! Take care and keep healing!

Re: My Urologist appt....

I have a question. Has your urologist tested you prior to this for anything? If so, then glad to hear nothing turned up and hopefully this will improve.
If not, there are other conditions that will affect bladder. Yes it does cause problems with bladder but sometimes there are things causing more problems. If he hasn't tested you before, then I would suggest a second opinion. I don't know your history but also don't want you to suffer needlessly. Sending hugs

Re: My Urologist appt....

Did he think it was related to IC? Just curious as I am having the same thing and that is where my doc is headed .... Gave me some Sanctura to try... Haven't started it yet... we will see how it goes.... Hugs!

Re: My Urologist appt....

It took a full 2 months, about 8 weeks for it to feel even close to "normal" when I peed, and now 3 months later it finally does feel normal. But, honestly, I thought it would feel weird forever.
