Re: Depressed and Exhausted

Yes! Don't...I mean you're body is telling you it needs something. Probably rest. Maybe better nutrition. This is not an easy surgery to get over. I'm a month post op and my husband just had to fly out for the next month. Getting groceries today completely wiped me out! Crazy. So I'm on the couch again. Just keep in mind, this is temporary but you need to let yourself heal. We can catch up on housework later. Please be patient with yourself and do not let guilt put you into depression. I know there are a lot of hormonal issues at work as well. Be kind to yourself honey. This is rough stuff!

I know what you mean. I feel the same way and had mine a day after you. Can anyone tell us when emotionally when do we start going back to normal? I'm thinking of work in the future and hope I'm ready to get back into it.

I know it is going to get better but we just have to be patient. Do you have a good support system at home? And your right cuz one day could be crappie and the next could be good. I'm right there with you! Anytime you want to talk let me know! I know it helps to talk to someone in the same situation.

Yes I have a good support system here. Just having a down day. Cold day here in New Zealand doesn't help! Thanks so much x

Re: Depressed and Exhausted

Lots of hugs to you! I have definitely had my days. I think at just about two weeks I had a breakdown and got in the shower and sobbed about my decision to have the surgery. I thought I had made a horrible mistake. I'm over that now. Haven't felt like that since! So allow yourself to cry if you need to- but don't get bogged down by the unimportant. I hope we've supported you and that you have an awesome day tomorrow!

Did u get any anxiety at all with the surgery? I felt like maybe mine was a mistake too but realized it was something I had to have. Are u feeling a lot better now that you're about 4 weeks out?
