I need to vent!

I just had my 2nd mammogram ever yesterday and within 3 hours got a call from my doctor's office saying it showed a "density". Now I have to go in tomorrow for a magnification.

I'm sure it's probably no big deal, but it feels like such a huge weight on my shoulders with everything else I know is coming up in the next few months!!!!
Thanks for listening!

~Tammy

I need to vent!

Try not to fret. I too have been called back almost every time I have had a mammo and this has been going on for years. Seems I'm one of those unlucky ladies who has dense breast tissue and it is very hard for them to read the films, so they redo it and then usually send me for an ultrasound just to be sure. Good luck on your second test.

I need to vent!

Hi Tammy

I have had many mammograms over the past years because my mother had a breast removed due to cancer when she was 33 years old. I have had a couple that there was a dark spot on the film and I had to go back to have an ultrasound done. It came back to be an over lap of tissue. I know that it is a scarey feeling. Good Luck!

I need to vent!

Hi, I had breast cancer last summer. The tests, the waiting, the what ifs were unbelieveably hard!!!!!
The feelings were a big deal but I remember feeling that I shouldn't be 'making' a big deal.
Thank goodness for mammos!!!!!! We are so fotunate that cancer can be detected early these days.
Just try and be glad that your medical support is staying on top of things. Good luck to you! My heart certainly goes out to you!

I need to vent!

I have to go and get an ultrasound every time I get a mamogram. I have fibrocystic tissue in both breasts which makes them filled with dense tissue, and my right one has a fluid-filled cyst that has to be watched. There is not much chance of malignacy, but the good dr. wants to keep an eye on it. Good luck with your check-up.
