No prior births, Lupron to begin Sept 05 & 2 lg fibroids

I had a UFE in February of 2004 for my fibroids - bleeding/anemia the main problem. I was curious to know if you saw an interventional radiologist and that is who informed you you are not a good candidate for a UFE. If you have not been seen by an IR, I would highly recommend it as they are really the most qualified physicians to determine whether or not this procedure might work for you.

Incidentally, for UFE you have to have been off Lupron for a period of time prior to it as it constricts the blood vessels which is not a condition you want at the time of UFE.

good luck with the lupron. I just read another post and a sister was way happy with her results. So I'm a tad green w/ envy...not really as I'm so happy always to hear good news regarding fibroids even if it doesn't include me.
