Hi all. Well it's been 6 days since surgery and I am still sore. Luckily no exterior stitches but the swelling is awful. I am looking foward to the "after its all over" stage. Hoping to meet some people in my boat to compare and vent to here. I am 47 and have 3 kids, 22,18 and 8. Since we weren't planning on having anymore this isn't an emotional thing. Just nerves, hoping all would turn out ok. I am looking foward to the freedom of no pain and discomfort that seemed to have brought me here.
Well, enough of that, just wanted to give a little boring background. Looking to hear from others. Dannie

Hello there

I am glad to hear you are doing ok. I think you will like this site, ithas a lot of helpful info. and the sisters are always there with a kind word and ready support. I am 27 years old with two kids so I did not have the extra burden with decision making on my surgery either. I hope you have a speedy recovery and continue to do well.

Hi Danni

Glad to meet you. I'm 31 and have 3 kids...7....4...19 months. I had an TAH/BSO...and now no cervix....on May 5th. I'm still sore most days too. Especially right now. Just got back from the park with the kids and I had to lift my 4 year old and my 19 month old in the swings and I think I pulled something. It hasn't been this sore in awhile. Hope I didn't hurt anything.

What did you have done? Total hyster.....??? You will find this site amazing. It has been a great spot for me for information or just to vent. Remember to take it easy and let everyone wait on you hand and foot.

Take care and talk soon,
