Help my DR took my hormones away!!!!

I asked the same question about a week ago. I haven't taken any HRT because I have concerns about the side effects. I got a reply back that talked about Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement. I have started to research this and low and behold in our Sunday paper there is a Dr. giving a seminar on tonight. I was very happy to see this since I go for my 6 wk post op tomorrow. I will be full of info and know what to ask.

Good luck to you Shannonrohde. I'm 45 and have concerns about not taking them also. I work out everyday and have a job that is very demanding on lifting. Hopefully this will help with the osteoperosis. I'm also taking the Vit D, E and calcium.

Hope this helps

I am in the same boat you are in! I am 36 also and can't take hormones. I am 3 days post-op and wondering when the symptoms will start also. Let me know if anything has helped you and I will do the same. Good luck.

Help my DR took my hormones away!!!!

I have had my patch off for 7 days and not had any symptoms yet. My doctor said it could be anywhere from 3 days to 4 weeks. She aslo said that 25% of the time you won't have any symptoms. Maybe we will get lucky and not have ANY symptoms.

Help my DR took my hormones away!!!!

It took me about 3 wks to start in with the hot flashes & night sweats after my LAVH. From what I have read it takes awhile for your stored estrogen to disapear!
