LAVH I miss the snuggles...(children mentioned)

...from my 1 1/2 yr old! I can't pick him up and he gets so upset although he's getting used to it. He just learned how to say "up" and here he comes with his arms stretched out "up, up" and it breaks my heart! He doesn't understand. He'll sit next to me to read but it's not the same! My belly is feeling pretty good so I'm hoping maybe by this weekend I could hold him on my lap to read to him/put him to bed and hubby could lift him into the crib for me? Would that be ok? I just want to hold him!

Of course then my 5 1/2 yr old would be jealous I'm putting little brother to bed. He seems so sensitive to this process and I didn't expect that. He's mad I can't give him a bath, can't do this or that for him. I read to him before bed and then hubby takes him upstairs to tuck him in but he complains I'm not putting him to bed. Oh man...it's hard not being 100%!

Although my daughters are 18 and 14 now, so not exactly snuggle-puppies. I DO miss snuggles with my lovely wife, though. She's been sleeping in a separate room since my surgery because I have to sleep on my back and it makes me snore. She's a really light sleeper and has to get up early, plus she's only five weeks out of her chemotherapy treatment and still needs a lot of rest herself. I'm really anxious to be able to sleep on my side again and resume snuggles!
