low estrogen level with adenomyosis

Has anyone else had a low blood estrogen level and adeno before?
I go in on Friday to see my doc and have an ultrasound to decide if I can have LAVH vs TAH.
I'm thinking of asking him for a trial of estrogen patchs to get me through the rest of this cycle. (Horrid PMs with Migraines)
Do you think one month of low dose estrogen will feed the beasty growing inside to much?

Thanks
Tralee

Hi, I don't know much about hormonal issues. There's a forum here called The Hormone Jungle, you might be able to find some info that can help you there. Here's a link to it:click here

Your best bet would probably be to call and talk with your dr about it.

low estrogen level with adenomyosis

Hi Tralee,

I'll be having surg on 3/23. I'm currently on the Ortho Evra patch. My prime care doc said that if I took the patch off right now my periods would get much worse. She said that a lot of fibroids DO feed off estrogen but not all. She also said that fibroids usually grow slowly. My uterus size has grown from 12 weeks at the first of December to 14 1/2 weeks at the first of Feb. I don't know if that's slow but it seems rather fast to me. I guess the best advice I'd give is talk to your doctor.
