Phospho-soda verses Go-Lightly?

Hi ladies,
I apologize for the whine, but I think you will understand. My "saga" continues... I have the gyn and the gen/surgeon agreeing on what has to be done, etc. g/s felt I needed a barium enema to make sure the diverticular pockets haven't worsened.. if so he would plan on working on them, also. He had to take the Go-Lightly( who names this stuff??? ) himself a few months back and decided half way through it it was horrible and was calling his gasto for something else. ( ) Since then he has ordered Fleet Phospfo-soda. 3 T mixed in 4 oz. of clear bev. followed by 24 ounces of clear beverage. I was elated! No Go-lightly.. 2 days before I didn't eat heavy fiber ( like I could if I wanted to ) day before test clear liquids, that night took the stuff. was up till 1, you know the drill.. .. but laid in bed the rest of the night shivering, as though I had a fever. Got up today with a terrible headache.. went in for the 7:30 test and 9:30 ( wheels turn soo slooooowly ) was told the prep didn't work properly.. to reprep and come back!! So guess how I will be spending Mother's Day! Beware ladies.. I did ask for the Go-Lightly this time ( somebody slap me! ) because I didn't want a repeat performance. I know I will have to repeat before surg. but that seems eons away still. BTW... My system normally is so fast. I have IBS D.. So that wasn't the problem.
I am in into the 14th month of my quest to ease this daily/nightly pain. Prayers on my behalf are greatly appreciated.
Best wishes to all, Hope to tell you my date next week.

Phospho-soda verses Go-Lightly?

Hi walnut brownie, I take the phospho-soda when I get my colon oscopy every three yrs, because my mother had colon cancer. I get the three ounce bottle and take half the bottle in a glass of cold water at 2:00 pm. then take the other half at 6:00 pm.in a glass of water. and drink lots of water and it does the trick. I also am on clear liquids for the whole day. hate the taste of it. but I have to be checked every three years since I already had surgery 3yrs. ago for a bygnine(sp)tumor removed from the wall of my intestine.
