Heading to the Castle SOON!

I have a sense of calm now that the day has FINALLY arrived. My first appt was postponed due to me getting shingles, and then I've been so worried that I'd get some sort of virus to prevent me from the surgery. But it's finally HERE!! Ugh! Although there is a sense of calm, it's like a calm before the storm, when you know a big one is coming. It's like an uneasy calm that is buzzing with potential and unreleased energy.

I go in at 11:30, but the surgery isn't scheduled until 2:30. That wait in the hospital is going to be mindnumbingly long. Ugh. I'm asking for anti-anxiety stuff asap.

Thanks for toughing it out with me on the waiting side. I think this has to be the worst part of it. I will see you over on the other side. I will post as soon as I can to my sisters here!

Re: Heading to the Castle SOON!

I have to be at the castle at 8am in the morning! Surgery at ten, I would have rather been there at 6 and surgery over by 8. I am not looking forward to the wait. Especially after laxative later today, no food or water after 12am. I am a coffeeholic LOL and tend to get bad headaches when I dont get that caffeine fix at 4:30am every morning! Good luck to you, let us know how it goes!!!

Prayers going up!

Re: Heading to the Castle SOON!

The surgery went smoothly and everything went fine. They gave me a throat numbing medicine so I'm not coughing after surgery. I am on a lot of pain meds so I am quite loopy and tired. But I'm not in pain.

It takes an awful lot of effort to write a text or to read a text because O usually fall asleep at least five times in the middle of doing either of those two things. So far so good and sisters!!!

Re: Heading to the Castle SOON!

It is 4am and I am awake despite the ambien. The psi worked itself through the meds. The are weaning me off the heavy hitters, so it feels a bit like someone ripped out my insides. Hopefully the two Percocet they gave me will help with pain relief.

I got them to take out the catheter early because I let feeling like I had to pee. So she took it out and I felt so much better. I was able to pee with no problem. And I have a low tolerance for pain and getting the cath removed was no biggie at all

Good luck princesses!!!

Yep - they just did! But you'll be better off without those bits... hang in there and you'll be a new woman sooner or later!
Hugs from afar!
