Post Menopause - PMS symptoms, 3 years post Novasure

Hi. I have been a member since 2014 and have only posted once previously, and now I am back!

I had the D&C and Novasure procedure done in Oct. 2013 for fibroids, polyp's, lots of bleeding and a 21mm thick endometrial lining. I only had occasional spotting after my surgery. I am now post menopausal (last spotted June 2015). My tubes were tied in Oct. 1997.

A couple of weeks ago, I had a sudden sharp pain in my left ovary. It only lasted about 30 seconds and then subsided. I bent over the pain was so sharp. I felt a continuous hot flash for several hours and a little bit queasy. I also had what felt like my old PMS headache. It happened again 24 hours later but pain was not AS sharp. The headache continued. The day after that, I had small twinges of pain throughout the day. The pains stopped but the day after that I had the feeling I was going to get my period (cramps, heaviness in my pelvis, and just "off")

My doctor would like to see me, but my husband wants me to wait to see if it happens again before I go in for an ultrasound since this is my first episode with this.

I've tried to research but most of the information I find is related to women whose bleeding started back up. Since I am through menopause, I have NO bleeding at all. It just felt like I was going to have a period. I have found information on post ablation syndrome that sounds like a possibility. I also read that their is a higher probably of failure if you've had your tubes tied. Does anyone know why that is? My symptoms are hard to figure out. Is there any other post menopausal women out there that can relate to any of this?
