TVH Nausea is killing me

ello. I'm five days out, had TVH with posterior repair and a cuff suspension the morning of the 25th, and at first couldn't keep anything down. I finally was able to eat solid food, came home the night of the 26th and have been eating fine, without nausea. Until last night. It was awful before dinner, ate dinner, and was fine. I woke with it this morning, had some almond milk (I cannot have dairy) and seemed alright. Back to sleep, woke later and had some cereal and now, two hours later, the nausea is back and it's just terrible. Headaches accompany the nausea and at this point I would pay money to be able to vomit.

Are you on prescription medicine? That could be causing it. Check what the side effects are and call your dr. If it's from the medicine they can try something else. Feel better!!!!!

My first suspicion would be your meds. My surgery was on a Thursday. On Sunday I experienced a few hours of nausea that passed. Monday morning I woke up nauseous and it didn't pass until I finally vomited in the afternoon. I'd had issues in the past with pain meds bothering my stomach, but it had been so many years ago, I couldn't recall what they were - so my doctor knew it could be an issue. He changed my meds and I didn't have any problems after that.
