Made it to the other side

Well just lying here in the castle. Things went well. Having some pain but the nurses are keeping it controlled. They ended taking one of my tubes because it had cyst on it. But over all pretty good experince.

Re: Made it to the other side

Welcome! Glad you made it safely. I had the same procedure on Thursday and I was in control of my pain medication overnight. My doctor had me on Dilaudid. I could pump a dose every 6 minutes! I went home with Tylenol #3. I doubled the dosage and that managed my pain. On today I took my Tylenol as prescribed when I woke up and then I just used OTC Tylenol once this afternoon. I've been able to move around a lot more today. I was pretty tired on days two and three and slept a lot. But I've been awake all day today. Hopefully, I get another good nights rest and won't pay for my activity today, on tomorrow. Keep us posted on your progress!

I'm praying your recovery is speedy and uneventful and you are feeling back to normal as soon as possible.

Please do not alter the dosage of your medication without your doctor's approval. Too much Tylenol can damage your liver! If the med prescribed does not manage your pain, call your doctor so he or she can prescribe something else.

Re: Made it to the other side

Thanks Danni,

My Dr. verbally gave me the ok to increase my dosage prior to my release. I have recently developed an allergy to NSAID's and he was set on my taking Tylenol but the higher dose of #4 have made me itchy in the past and I have already been itching from the dilaudid!

on a successful surgery. I'm glad that things went well. During my surgery one of my tubes was removed as well. They'll take good care of you there and before you know it, you'll be home recovering in your own environment.
