Goodie Bag

I saw a mention that someone packed a "goodie bag" for those who will wait and serve !!
What a great idea!
What are the absolute essentials that I need to have for my husband and parents as they endure for me?

That is, assuming I have surgery since it was postponed twice due to doctor's health issues and then doctor retired last week on the day I called to set the third date.....

Goodie Bag

I had both my parents, my mother in law, and my husband waiting on me. I bought some word search books with some cool pens (hubby and mom love these), some chocolates (Hershey's kisses and small Reece's cups), some beef jerky, and teehee--I picked up a couple of those "National Enquirer" type tabloid mags to put in there. I figured it would give them a few laughs and something else to talk about besides me. I also put a card in there, addressed to all, telling them how much I appreciated them being there to support me, and thanked them ahead of time for what they would be doing for me while I was in the hospital (taking care of my house, my boys, etc).

Goodie Bag

That is a great idea. I think I'll do the same thing. I will have my hubby, at 3 of my kids (I think 1 has to work), and my best friend there waiting for me. This would give them something to do. I think I will also put a couple of those small travel games for them to play.

Thanks for the great idea!!!
