I am at home now got home Friday, February 6. I am doing fine, rest a lot. I do have one question I had an adomial hys. I do not have to see my Dr. until March 22 is this normal?

I also had abdominal incision (SAH kept ovaries & cervix) and had to go back within a week for my staples to be removed, then a week later for 2 sutures. I'm now due back end of this month for my 6 week check up.

I would "think" your doctor would want to see you prior to when you said. Why don't you call tomorrow and verify that.

In any case..please remember to rest, drink lots of fluids and REST! Sorry I couldnt help more.

I will call tomorrow and find out. But the paper work they gave me when I left the hospital had an appointment card that said March 22. Which I thought was very odd. That it was so long after my surgery.

This is my very first post. Glad all went well for you. I am having a complete abdominal hysterectomy this Friday the 13th. Good thing I am NOT superstitious!!! I have an appt with my dr in two weeks on the 1st of March. Then another one 4 wks from that & then one in 6 months. I think you should check with your dr about that.

I hope to be home next week this time!! YIPPEE
