Sharp pain in side

I had a LAVH on June 6th. I have had a easy recovery and went back to work at 2 1/2 weeks post op. I have had no problems with the exception of severe insomnia, which routine excercise has helped tremendously. However, yesterday, I experienced this sharp pain in my lower right side. It only lasted a few seconds, then went away. I have experienced this numerous times since yesterday. They never last long, but are incredible painful. My first thought, was that it was my ovary-I kept both of them, however they removed an endometreoma off one. I am calling my OBGYN Monday morning, but now I'm wondering if it's my appendix. Has anyone else experienced this?

Do you have a fever or upset stomach? If you do I wouldn't wait till Monday. I did have pains like that and they thought it was my appendix but it turned out to be my ovary I had a cyst on it. If you are really in a lot of pain call you dr today just to make sure you shouldn't be seen today. I would hate to see you suffer longer than you should or have it be something that needs immediate attetion. I hope you feel better soon.

I have something similar that peaked at 4-1/2 weeks.
Definitely call your doctor if you are in a lot of pain.
I also wondered about appendicitis, but it turns out that my pain is lower than the appendix. As I understand it, an appendix can have various symptoms that are confusing, but the most typical symptom is lower right abdominal pain, especially if it is midway between the navel and the hip bone.
Also be sure to take your temperature, and also keep track of whether you are still having bowel movements, because all these things will help your doctor diagnose the problem.

By the time I saw my doctor, the pain had gotten less frequent and less intense, and she thinks I'm fine (even though I don't feel fine!).
