Pre-op testing went well

I had my pre-op testing on Friday. DH went with me. He is so worried.
I met with a nurse and learned the OR is booked for me from 7:30 to 9:20. I have to arrive at 5:30AM.
I get to wear pretty leg stockings and have foot pumps. That scared DH more, but I told him it was a good precaution and not unusual.
I got blood drawn and received a pretty red bracelet to wear for another week. One more thing for DH to worry about.
Then, I met with anesthesia and told them I wanted the same combination I had in April for the D&C and hysterscopy. I had no bad feelings after that. They sent me for another chest xray since I had pneumonia in June.
I stopped by the admissions office and asked where my room would be...not the maternity ward unless census is up. So, I requested a private room. If it was the maternity ward that would be guaranteed.
I got a little emotional this morning  for the first time, but DH was right there for me.
We plan to enjoy the day by visiting a peach festival and going bowling. Of course, then we get to come home and clean the house.
Have a great weekend.

Pre-op testing went well

Hi Stephanie!!
Sounds as though your pre-op visit went very well. I find those do as a rule go well. They seem to pick great staff to do the orientations, and they are very helpful and knowledgeable indeed.

So you are all set for next week!! Thats great. Enjoy your weekend!

Tell your DH to hang in there, he will make it through this right along with you!! He sounds like a very speical guy!!

All the best Stephanie for an uneventful surgery and relaxing pain free recovery!!
Hugs,
Maria
