Yet Dr said everything looks good, and would not give me anymore pain meds, said to only take ibuprohen?? She only gave me 20 Darvocet when I left the Castle, I took last on this morning, Why would she deny me, I'm not an adict after 20 am I, and it does still hurt!!!! Any suggestions????

Pain Medication ???
Is it prescription Ibuprofin? I take 800 mg Ibuprofin (1 tablet), which is equivalent to four 200 mg. over the counter tablets. If yours isn't prescription, you could ask your dr. if you could take more OTC Ibuprofin. I can't imagine (s)he would say no, but I'm not a doctor and don't want to advise on medication...but I think that's what a lot of us take.

Pain Medication ???
My dr. gave me prescription Motrin 800 mg. and dilaudid prescription when I left the hospital -- he told me to take the Motrin whether I was in pain or not every 5-6 hours - the idea is to stop the pain before it starts and gets really bad -- I already knew that from menstrual pain -- but anyway I already had some left over Lortabs from earache, etc. and I used those too after deciding (from advice here) that the dilaudid contributes to constipation. I'm 9 weeks post op and some days I still take half a Lortab - if you are in pain you should insist your doctor give you something - and if she/he repeatedly refuses - maybe try calling your family physician. I'm not a wimp - proved that when I broke my hip and didn't go to the ER until the next day after I drove myself home the night before - but I refuse to live in pain although I put up with the menstrual pain for 15 years (laying in the bathroom floor begging God to just let me die before I got the courage to have surgery again) - many studies have shown that people in pain do not become addicted to drugs - b/c if you use them to "get high" you won't have them when you need them for the pain -- that may be why I have such a stash of Lortabs -- I've not called my doctor once since my surgery except to schedule appointments (I'm not healing as well as he would have liked - had cauterization today and took a whole Lortab in preparation for that experience - although most of the advice on this subject said maybe take some Advil - although some suggested they had bad cramps, etc. after the cauterization. Nothing has worked for me to help the swelling - my favorite clothing for 4 weeks post op was a night gown - any fabric at all against my incision site was irritating if not painful. My advice, cry, tell your doctor the Advil isn't working, etc.

ibuprofen
I took three regular over the counter ibuprofen and took them every 6 hours. Try and get the pain under control that way. I took mine at 4pm, 10pm, 4am, 10am. Those seemed to help me much more than the vicodin. Those made me too loopy.
Your doc never gave you any heavy duty Motrin? (ibuprofen)
Good luck and God Bless
