my doc's answer to stairs question
I also have a lot of steps and was worried about how to handle them. I have 2 tips for you.... Strategically place chairs on the landing if there is one or right at the top of the steps so you can rest if needed. Before surgery, I put my dining room chairs all over the place - even in the bathroom. I covered them with towels. They came in handy when I needed a sit down or a push up. Second tip.... try going up the stairs backwards - see if that helps. Stairs were really not that much of an issue as long as I went slowly. Good luck!
