Question about uterus size

how do you no what size it is,i see alot of others saying theres was big ect.and a change in surgery i,m just getting real nervous 2 days to go.

hi jennas36, i knew the aprox. size because before surgery i had ultra sounds and even some camera thing. Then, after surgery, my Dr. gave my husband a beautiful, color photo, and told us the measurements and weight. Dont be nervous, you will get through just fine, and in a little time will be amazed at how good you feel. Good luck !! Happy healing!!

Your surgery report will probably say how big your uterus was. If you are having an abdominal surgery, you can even ask for pictures and they can measure the uterus for you.

Hope this helps! I know that the docs were able to estimate the size of my uterus using ultrasound, but until the surgery actually happened, no one knew for sure.

Nothing to be worried about. My uterus was triple in size, still had TVH.

A normal uterus is about 8 x 6 x 4 cm and has a volume of 75-200cc. This is about the size of a woman’s fist. It weighs 100-200gms (there are 28 gms in an ounce).

My measurements were taken by 3d ultrasound and fibroid was all you could see. Best of luck of the 24th.
