Leakage/bleeding at incision sites?

Hi girls,

Have a question for you. Has anyone had slight bleeding (more leakage than bleeding) at their incision sights? I'm 5 days post op. I had the DaVinci so I have 5 little incisions. My biggest one at the top of my belly button has been weeping for 2 days. I've used Peroxide and Ointment. Now I've noticed the ones on my sides must have leaked a little last night because there's a little blood on my undies on each side.

Take care,
Lumpygus

Re: Light leakage from incision sites--Normal?

My incisions leaked for probably a couple of weeks, the side ones were worse for me. One eventually did become a little infected, I called my doctor and was told to come in and see him. It was very minor, and he prescribed antibiotics as a precaution, although he wasn't really worried about it. I agree with you though that it is a nuisance, but it will heal eventually

Re: Recovery Progress Reports for Hysterectomy dates July 27-Aug 02,2009

Hi Lumpygus,

I have not had any leakage with my incision site but I remember the Doctor and Nurses telling me that if I have any yellow looking leakage, smell or blood to call the doctor or go to the ER. If I were you, I would call my doctor asap. I had the regular old TAH with a big long bikini scar with staples so your situation could be different.

I hope you get better!
