3+ weeks post hysterectomy and repairs: Found stitches coming out of me. Normal??

Hi ladies. I'm 3 and a half weeks post surgery. I had Tvt TVH kept ovaries , a and p repair for cyctocele and rectocele and Peri repair. Just today in the shower I found a knotted bunch of stitches come away from the inside. They were just at the entrance. I'm hoping this is normal and it's just time for the stitches to have dissolved and the rest to come away now? Ps, no wonder I've felt spiked and poked in there. They are longer than I expected and sharp!!

Sounds like it could be stitches. I never experienced seeing that myself and you can always get peace of mind by calling your Dr. on Monday.

It is likely normal! As long as you arent bleeding or increased pain, i would call tomorrow just to be safe. Those sutures do stab!! I was surprised too.

I didn't see mine! But my doc told me to expect in 3rd week to 6th week! Talk to ur doc if worried!xxx

Around the 3 week mark, I saw little bits and pieces of my stitches come out. I mentioned something to my Doctor and she said it was normal to be seeing that.
