Weak and Tired, but home from the castle

I just wanted to let all my sisters know that I am home. I had to bring my cath home w/ me because my bladder went into shock after the sling was put in. I came home Friday night, although the dr wanted me to stay one more night. I had to come home to avoid insanity. I have been getting pampered like no other since my return from the castle. DH has been so loving and caring to be and barely lets me out of bed for anything at all. The dr said that since I overdid it on the walking the first day after surgery she didnt want me walking too much because she doesnt want me to overdo it again. I will post more when I feel a little stronger. For now I just want to curl up and take another little nap until DH and DK get home from church. Talk to you all later

Weak and Tired, but home from the castle

Thanks for the great welcome home. DH has been so great since my return from the castle. He doesnt even let the kids tattle tale to me because he says that mommy is sick and doesnt need to be dealing with that. He helped me take a shower tonight, and was so gentle when he washed my hair. It was so great. I go in to the uro dr in the morning to see if I can lose the cath. I hope my bladder is functioning well enough to lose it, but if not I will have another week until another check up. I have been on Tylox but am going to talk to my gyn in the morning to see if I can get something a little bit stronger. The tylox is ok but it isnt taking all the pain away, which I thought was the purpose of taking pain pills. My mom said to ask the dr for some darvocets or darvodon. I dont know what I want her to give me, but I just want something that will control the pain.

Hi

Been thinking about you and wondering how things were going ...

Taking things as slowly as possible now will pay dividends in the long-term. My DH was wonderful too ... it's amazing what they can do when they try!

Take care and pamper! Look forward to seeing you back on the Games soon ...

So glad you are home! I am also glad you have a husband who is taking good care of you. That will make your recovery less stressful and much more successful.

Hugs and prayers!

Thanks for all the words of encouragement and all the wonderful welcome home(s). I got my cath out today YAY!!! I have been having painful pottying though. I also had my first BM this afternoon and OW!!! I am so glad that the ball is rolling so to speak though. Dr put me on Darvocet to hopefully control the pain better. So far it hasn't been, but I have been in so much pain it is going to take time to get it controlled I guess. I am going to go back to bed now, but I will KIT. Love you all
