LAVH: how long do I wait Before I call the surgery scheduler

the doctors said I'll get my LAVH within one month and no later than 2 months .
I feel like that's a really crappy answer. how can I plan what is going to go on if I don't even know when I'm going to have surgery. I saw the doctor last Tuesday so do you think it's too soon to call to try to schedule surgery. I know it's an HMO so I have to wait but they did not say anything about referrals wait times.
I'm supposed to start my college semester in 2 weeks but what's the point of going and spendingthe money if I just drop the classes anyways.

I would go ahead and call. Even if they don't have you scheduled yet, you can at least find that out. I called yesterday because I still was not seeing my authorization on my insurance web site. The nurse told me the date and time I was scheduled for and that she didn't get authorization too early in case things changed.

I cannot plan either . I wanted mine the last
Week in may but I called last week and the Urologist and Gyn had not yet discussed the procedure !!!! So I am in
Limbo .

For me, it took a full week just to get the insurance pre-authorization. But, then I was able to schedule.
