Insurance
Just wanted to let everyone know about my recent experience with my insurance and it was actually a good one! My doctor put in for my hysterectomy on Thursday and by Monday they approved it no questions asked! It's actually state medicaid that I've had deny my premature daughters hospital bill.. Anyway, not sure why they didn't fight it or only took them a few days but I'm grateful either way . Sending good vibes to others dealing with insurance companies now

Re: Insurance
My insurance company was amazing- I expected a fight because of the fact that we decided on hysterectomy after only two ultrasounds, no other imaging, my surgeon wanted to use the DaVinci method and because no intermediate treatment had been attempted.... I figured they'd want more "proof" that it was needed and appropriate or that they'd refuse to pay the higher cost of the robotic procedure vs the conventional laproscopy... but no, I had complete approval within 24 hours and it included hospital care "as indicated" up to 5 days (and a verbal assurance that if it all went to hell and I needed more hospitalization, we just needed to submit).... I did not, happily, need more than the "same day" approval but it sure was comforting to know it would not be disputed if there were problems.

Insurance
No idea if my surgery was approved or not. I never got notice. Though it doesn't mater. if they don't approve it I still am only liable for the decutable. Per contact it the providers job to get preapproval. I assume they took care of it. I was concerned they would say no. Now I am curious what the claims will look like.

Re: Insurance
I'm just really glad they didn't fight it because I didn't ever go through hormone therapy or more treatments. We did to through a lot of testing and a lot of treatment but I figured that they would want more for some reason.
