Wow I cannot believe how fast this has come! Getting really nervous now. I haven't had any surgeries in my life.... worried about my kids and missing them and how this will affect them. My husband almost died a year and a half ago and we are all still traumatized by hospitals.

Re: Best Wishes to our March 26 Princesses
I can't believe it is finally almost here! This has been an amazing ride with my fellow sisters. I can't tell you how much I appreciate this site. Thank you so much for your well wishes, your kindness, your support and your prayers. God bless all of us -- sisters, I feel like we're about to "jump the broom"!
Peace and blessings lovelies. Let's keep one another posted and above all let's keep one another in prayer. See you on the other side.

Re: Best Wishes to our March 26 Princesses
Can't believe less than 48 hours until my surgery! My doctor called today and asked if I preferred a 6am or 9am arrival time, and I picked the earlier one - don't want to risk a caffeine withdrawal headache among other thoughts so...the earlier the better.
I have been cleaning the house getting things ready. Went grocery shopping today, finishing laundry now and have the bowel prep stuff all ready to go. I also started packing a duffle bag since she mentioned it would be an overnight.
I am going to work a half day tomorrow (working from home in the afternoon while I do the lovely bowel prep). I'm also going to be on a liquid diet so it'll be nice to stay as busy as I can - and close to the bathroom to make the time go by.
I was SO incredibly anxious when I first planned this about 6 weeks ago. It's really a mental thing with me since my uterus has always failed me and I've never had children. As the day approaches, I'm at peace with that part (for the most part) and have sort of shifted my thoughts to the wonderful idea of no more periods, tampons, pads, ruined sheets, etc., etc.
I've had two myomectomies in the past so I guess the 'third' time is the charm since those did not work to rid my fibroids and endo once and for all.
My doctor gave me a 4-6 week recovery estimation. I plan on working from home as best I can post-op (I'm in HR - hard to stay away) but also plan on taking at least 4 weeks before I head back into the office.
Best of luck to all the same-day princesses out there!!
