Red spotting again at 2 weeks?

I am 2 weeks post-op today and feeling ok, a little tired, sore, but this discharge thing is driving me nuts! I had minor bleeding day 1 post-op and that was it. For the next week I had a slight discharge that was yellowish, then the next couple of days nothing. Then I started having a pinkish discharge in the evenings, then earlier in the day the next couple days, so I assumed it was from being up a little more so I slowed down again. I haven't really done anything since the surgery other than fixing a bowl of cereal here or there and I have tons of help with my kids. Today I have done pratically nothing and I am having bright red spotting. I called the dr yesterday to ask how much I could lift (haven't lifted the baby in 2 weeks!) and mentioned the pink spotting and the nurse said it was "to be expected". I also have a little more pain today on my right side than I did but I have been dealing with constipation on and off so that might have something to do with it??? I'm a little frustrated, I feel like I am going to be wearing a maxi pad forever! Between the the c-section and now I have been using pads for 3 1/2 months!!! Sending hubby off to buy more...

Red spotting again at 2 weeks?

I am at the 2 week mark today also and I'm starting to bleed again. I'm trying not to lift much.
Is it normal or should I call the dr.? I was just in to see him on Tuesday and he said everything is healing fine.

Red spotting again at 2 weeks?

Hi there,
I had spotting on and off for about 5 weeks, I know how you feel about wearing pads. I thoght that part was over when the surgery was done but it does get better. My doc said the spotting is usually the stitches dissolving and as long as the spotting doesn't get more than a heavy pad in an hour all is fine. I hope this helps you some. It really does get better.

If the spotting gets heavier or the pain increases, don't hesitate to call your doctor.

Red spotting again at 2 weeks?

Thanks for your replies! I did call the dr this morning, of course he is out of the office. They told me to just take it easy over the weekend and to call Monday if I was still concerned. They gave me the general take it easy, call if it gets worse, could be a mini-period reply. I had my period on a Sunday through Thursday, then Thurs. was my hyst. I am only 2 weeks post-op so I wouldn't think it was that but WHO KNOWS!!! I guess it can't last forever so I'll just try to calm down and relax.

Thanks again!

Red spotting again at 2 weeks?

I just talked to a nurse. She said that everything is ok. I just probably overdid it a little. She said it was ok to start doing light work, but not to do too much yet.
She said since the blood is dark, it's ok.
She said the pulling sensation is normal also. I was scared that maybe a stitch came undone.

I spotted for 6 weeks after my LAVH. Usually some in the morning and some at night. It is very frustrating but hang in there. I was told that it was my stitches dissolving.
