2 days post hysterectomy: vaginal dryness and soreness

Hello everyone. I'm on day 2 of post op. I realize that vaginal soreness and dryness is probably normal. Is there anything I should be doing? Do I need to tell my doctor?

The soreness may be from the stretching and pain meds should help. Also laying down often helped me. Ask your doctor about putting an ointment like A/D ointment, an OTC antibiotic on the area (not in the vagina but on the area around the opening).
