8 days post op - Lower back pain

I've had my tvh kept ovaries 8 days ago and I just saw the Dr. today cause of the upset tummy, headaches, left sided pain and alot of lower back pain and she doesn't understand why? She says I shouldn't be having anything but fatique two days after surgery. She did send me to have a cat scan done today which I'm glad cause sometimes she makes me feel like I'm making this all up and that having the hysterectomy was to be no big deal.

Liz - everyone experiences different healing. I had cramps, headaches and lower back pain as well. My doc said my lower back pain was caused for overcompensating NOT using my abdominal mucsles and my twinges of pain was the nerves healing. I hope what you're feeling is just a transition and healing period. Let us know how your tests come out. I wish you good healing.

It has to be very difficult feeling so discounted!

The lower back pain could be caused by any number of things, of course. I'm glad they did a scan for you. Even if it shows "nothing", that doesn't mean that there isn't something wrong -- so if you're still having pain, make sure you are assertive and get some answers. We're all here for you!
