17 days post hysterectomy: Not "Angry Bladder"!

A cautionary tale...

My surgery was 17 days ago, and from the time I hit the recovery room until yesterday I had bladder pain. Spasms, achy, urgency - pain before and after voiding....generally an unpleasant time. I asked and was told it was due to the cath/Angry Bladder and would subside - drink lots of water, walk, etc.

Yesterday, after the advice of a nurse friend, I went in to a little clinic in a store and had a test - bladder infection! After one day of meds I feel 99% better.

Better safe than sorry.
