Introduction and cystocele concern

Hello to everyone! I am new here and I am looking to develop a support system regarding pelvic floor issues. I had cystocele surgery (anterior repair) last Wednesday, June 27, 2012. I also had a mid-urethral sling for SUI. My concern is that I have an induration that developed at the top part of the opening of the vagina. It almost resembles the feeling of a tampon trying to come out of the vagina. When I look at it in the mirror, it is rather large like the size of my pinky finger and is slightly hard. Does anyone who has had an anterior wall repair experienced anything like this? I am concerned that this is not normal. Prior to surgery, I never had anything protruding from the vagina and now there is this mass of tissue that slightly protrudes from the opening. Any help would be great appreciated. I am planning on calling the doc to schedule a visit for him to check it out. I am concerned about waiting till the 6th week visit.

Please bear in mind, however, that their experiences may not necessarily be the same as yours since the majority have had hysterectomy surgery also.
