When I went back to my Dr for my 6 week check he had causally said oh I tightened you up just a bit. Who asked him!! But I just thought all was ok until our first try. The PT has helped lots but I still have a little vaginal pain but no Back ache. And it still seems like it is getting better. So glad you found out about this before your first attempt. Keep us posted.

Hugs,
Anndy
I was reading about the PT and vaginal pain. I had horrible vaginal pain for a few years before my surgery. We have not had sex yet, although I'm 2 months out now. I'm scared and nervous. We have one PT in town who works with this, and I just feel uncomfortable going. Could you share a bit about how it helped you. The PT mentioned something about bio-feedback, did you ever do that?
Thank you!

How are you doing?
Pretty good. I interviewed for a position as a para professional with Special Ed students, and at the time had not been released back to all my normal activities. I was disappointed because I'm sure I would have really liked the job, just was very nervous about what the lifting/moving could do to me.

Ok. I'm hot. It's been horribly humid and hot here lately. I work in a school- no air, no fans, a couple of classrooms don't even have windows. I'm sweating a lot. I can literally wipe sweat off of my forehead- I've never been a sweater.
It's driving me nuts. I think the kiddos can concentrate better than I can!
I kept my ovaries- that's it.
Is my body just adjusting, am I always going to feel miserable, will this end??
Is anyone else hot?
I have meetings for the next two days with other adults and I'm worried about melting into a pool of sweat. If it's just too hot, I'm going to have to pull the "I had a hysterectomy this summer, and I'm on fire" card and bring a fan to plug in by me! Can I get away with that?

Almost 10 weeks. In many ways, things are better, so that's good. I've been having pain in my behind and upper backs of thighs, when I'm sitting and after I get up from sitting. I feel like a little old lady when I'm walking. The pain is making it hard to get work done at my computer. Has anyone else had this? I've had sciatic pain before, during pregnancy and after a car accident. This doesn't send pain down my legs like that did. Also, my stitches from second surgery 8 weeks ago haven't fallen out yet. Doctors said they'd come out in 1-2 weeks at my last appointment 1 1/2 weeks ago.

Ladies,

lake, I have never done biofeedback. The PT I had was great and very sensitive about the possible embarrassing topic and situation. I was very comfortable with her. She worked on helping me discover trigger points and showed me how to use dilators to stretch potentially tight areas of the vaginal walls. She also helped me make sure I was doing kegels correctly. I had six appointments with her.

A fan sounds great, I remember how hot these northern schools can be in Sept from when I was a kid. It was sweltering. And no it won't always be like this. Your ovaries will kick back in. Even with menopause and especially after it gets better and you start feeling good again. Not like your body hates you. This just seems to be slower for you, which is the case for some of us. Keep us in the loop. My prayers and good thoughts are with you.

shadow, the doctor knows how long the sutures are supposed to last there are different lengths depending on the type used. Hand in there Sis. Those muscle could just be sore from disuse. When can you start some yoga? You could try gentle yoga first. Prayers.

Hugs all around,

Hi Anddy,
I have a question about the estrace. Did you have any vaginal discharge from using. I have been noticing some the next day on a pantiliner- very tinged yellow. Wasnt sure if this is a side effect. I never had discharge before using the cream.?
Thanks

Hi candy,

I use just a pea size amount of Estrace because mine is for the muscles in the pelvic floor. I just rub a little in the area everyday. So I really don't have discharge. I also don't notice that it has really helped the muscle tone. Still have a little incontinence. I have to pay close attention to potty stops when I drink very much. I also always wear a med size pad just in case. Oh the joys of getting older.

Hugs to all you sisters,
Anndy

Hi ladies
I have experienced bad vaginal spasms which seemed like on one side. With a pain underneath my buttocks. Has anyone experienced this ? I am wondering if this was from my the internal exam from uro Gyn two days before. I also start pt Monday for bladder pressure after urinating.

Night night

I also just use a pea size on the ulcers on the urethra and not putting into the vagina so I'm not sure what is going on. Yet another call to the gyne. I can't get into a urologist until end of October. Grrrr......
