Sharp, pulling pain

I am about 1 wk post op from a TAH. I kept my ovaries. I keep getting this sharp, pulling pain near both ends of my incision. Does anyone else have this and what is it?

Beth,
I too am a week post-op and have exactly what you've described. I have no idea why, but am glad to see someone else is experiencing this.

Sharp, pulling pain

Hey! Me too!
Friday there was a really sharp OMG it hurts pain! Last night and today it is a continuous overall dull pain with occasional bright red spotting when I go to the bathroom.
I think this may be due to the sutures beginning to dissolve and some pulling apart of the incision when it happens. I have my 2 week appt on Thursday. If it gets worse I will call before then, otherwise I will just discuss it with my Dr. then.

Sharp, pulling pain

Hi Ladies, I am 4weeks one day post op and I had the same feeling. It changes as the weeks go by. I think, (if I can remember)lol..it was the initial stage of my incision healing. Heal well.

Sharp, pulling pain

Hi,
Even though I had a LAVH my incision site on my belly button does the same thing. I am 10 days post op. Sometimes this area stings also. I told my hubby that it almost felt as if my stitches were tightening. I keep and ice pack on this area when I am reclining and it seems to help a little.

Sharp, pulling pain

Ladies,
I had these pains you descibe also at each end, it does go away. You will start to feel better by week 4, and if I remeber correctly it is the incision pulling together as it heals. Be sure to check with your Dr. @ your next visit..everything is worth mentioning. Best wishes for a speedy uncomplicated recovery.
God Bless
Lori
