Is it common to wait 4 weeks for the first check-up?

Had TAH 4 weeks ago and this week I will be going back to DR for the first time. I feel great. Have started walking a little outside this week. I am ready to start back my regular walks. I have loads of questions for my Dr. Others that I have talked to said that their first check ups were around the 2 week mark. Is this common to wait 4 weeks? I still can't drive and I am going nuts in the house

Is it common to wait 4 weeks for the first check-up?

I had to see my doc 7 days post op for staple removal. And then he wanted to see me 3 weeks after that for a pelvic exam.

I went for a 2 week checkup, then 4 weeks from that date to make it 6 weeks. I still have one more checkup with him in 3 weeks.

My first scheduled check up wasn't until 6 weeks... But I had an LAVH, not much to deal with as far as incisions go and I think he wanted to leaved my insides alone to heal... Every doctor is different. I know that he would have seen me if I felt the need to come in. I did go in at 4 weeks and had an exam because I was having pain. Good luck!

Is it common to wait 4 weeks for the first check-up?

Hmmm...I had my post-op followup (which included a Pelvic) at 2 weeks. Afterward my doctor said everything was healing ahead of schedule and released me to my regular doctor. She said I didn't need any additional followups unless I had problems.

I had a TLH with DaVinci assist

I had a TAH and my doc did not see me till 3 weeks and there was no pelvic exam during that appointment. The doc checked the incision and answered my questions. The next appointment is scheduled at 7 weeks post op. That is when the doc will be doing the pelvic exam and all. I have been in constant communication with the doctors office though for any questions I might have and they are pretty good about calling back to answer questions.

Is it common to wait 4 weeks for the first check-up?

I had my TAH on June 6th and just had my post-op today 7/8. However, I was calling once a week for the first two weeks with any silly questions I had.

I had an appt 1 week post-op to remove the staples from my incision from the TAH. We did go over some questions I had. My next appt won't be until my 6 week mark in which we will discuss me being able to go back to work. He also told me to call for questions and/or schedule an appt if I felt I needed to be seen.
