One week post hysterectomy: How long did you spot after surgery?
Had a LAVH including ovaries one week ago. Curious about how long it will spot. What was your experience?

I had LAVH and kept ovaries 7 weeks ago today and I just stopped spotting a few days ago..I can tell u this I spotted more the more I did..I finally told my household last week that I was taking the week off to heal and it helped..I still cooked dinner and some laundry but that was it!

Im 8 days post op, had a TLH (just managed this and no more almost had to slice) kept both ovaries (again just (had some complications)) i had no bleeding at all for some reason but last night started to spot so phoned gp and they said this is normal. Is it? Or have i managed to do myself an injury getting up off couch:-/

I had faint pink spotting for a few days after my surgery, then just light brown for a couple weeks afterwards. At week 3, I had one day where I had a little more heavy spotting, then it was gone. I figure it was stitches or maybe just doing too much. My doc said it was totally normal to spot for several weeks sometimes. I'm almost 6 weeks post op, and no spotting  I can't even begin to say how awesome it is not to be like Niagara Falls anymore!

Everyone seems to be different eh i hope mine stops soon, doc trip tomoz anyways because iv managed to split cut in my belly button 😮 gonna need a dressing put on this one too one to go :sad: hopefuly thats me til im healed had enough problems before and stressful enough at 25 having to have it done

I just stopped spotting a few days ago & I'll be 7 weeks out on Friday. It did seem that I spotted more when I did too much. So glad it's finally stopped!!

My surgery was on a Tuesday and my Thursday late afternoon I stopped spotting. I haven't had any since then.
....watch I probably just jinxed myself lol
