Need help, Lupron side effect (itching)?

I had my first Lupron shot on Feb 28th for PMDD/migraines (possible hys/ooph later on if this works).

Now I can't stop itching all over! It's keeping me up at night because I'm waking up just scratching myself all night long. During the day it's not so bad.

No hot flashes, no moods, no other problems at all! (other than sleeping, but that's because I can't stop scratching! ) I've got little sores all over where I can reach from my nails digging into my skin. I'm not sure if it's dried skin from the shot or an allergic reaction, but I imagine it it was an allergic reaction I'd have other symptoms such as a swollen tongue and things.

Has anyone else suffered from this too?

Have a 3 day course of an anti-allergin like Allegra 120 or Cetrizine or Avil. It will help greatly.

Thanks, I wish that would help, but I'm already on a daily dose of Claritin.

(I probably should have put that in my original post but it was early morning and I'd been up all night itching)

Need help, Lupron side effect (itching)?

Please call your pharmacist or doctor about this troublesome sypmtom and let us know how it goes. I am curious if itching is listed as a possible side effect in the patient info you received at the time of the shot.

Keep us posted, we do care!!

Itching at the site of the shot is the only symptom listed in regards to itching. But that was almost three weeks ago and it's ALL over my body. I applied lotion wherever I could reach and that seemed to help to get a few hours of sleep this morning. I will call the doctor on monday. I'm assuming the lack of hormones is making my skin dry at this point.
