What you are feeling is very normal. My ovaries went to sleep & didn't wake up until the 3rd month. Very common. Plus you have all that medication to get out of your system. It all takes a while. Hang in there, you will feel better.

Re: Does anyone else feel sad? I'm six days post-op.

Funny, as I sit here crying for no apparent reason, I decide to sign on here and see if anyone else has experienced sadness.

My support system is scattered around the country, I have few friends where I live (moved here 4 years ago with my husband, whom I left at the beginning of this year). My oldest sister was here for a week, and very helpful, now my other sister is here and for some reason she is stressing me out. I appreciate them both helping as they can.

For some reason, all day long I have been crying off and on. I had an abdominal hysterectomy on 11/3, they left my ovaries, so I don't think its hormonal. (well...maybe). I know its going to take time.

Its nice to see that folks here are going through te same thing! While I wouldn;t wish this on anyone, at least I know I'm not alone.

Re: Does anyone else feel sad? I'm six days post-op.

Thank you for your post because I thought something was wrong with me, but I didn't share it. I had a TAH on Monday, 11/2/09, and I keep crying (too many thoughts; not use to sitting still; not a big T.V. or movie watcher, etc...).

On a lighter note, I will start putting vacation pictures from the Summer in albums and shredding paper

I am so grateful to God for this website and my new Hyster Sisters
Thank you EVERYONE!
