stabbing vaginal pain anyone?

Hi everyone... I just read all of your posts about the stabbing vaginal pain and i have also been experiencing the same thing. I am now 4 wks post op LAVH kept ovaries. I started having this prob. at the end of my first week post op and it continued, I also had the bladder pain. I went to my doctor three times during these pasts few weeks and last Wednesday during an "exam" he discovered that I had internal tissue that had pushed thru my vaginal stitches (prob. from me straining and not even realizing I was) so I ended up back in the hospital last Wed. and did not come home until Saturday. So this is not to scare anyone but if you are not comfortable with what you are feeling call your doctor!!!Everyone kept telling me that it was normal and for some it is but I had an underlying problem going on and did not know it. So it is better to get checked out and not have the stress and concern that something is wrong. You only get one time to heal properly so don't take any chances.

Much Love,

Gosh, Pink.. Did you have to have another surgery to fix that? That's terrible. So sorry to hear that. I go back Friday For my internal exam.

thanks for the comment, no thankfully I did not have to have any other surgery. I did stay in the hospital for four days, which was no fun at all. I am doing better now, just taking it easy just like I was suppose to do in the first place. Good luck with your exam, I am having another one on the 18th. YUCK

remember to take care of yourself

stabbing vaginal pain anyone?

Pinkwiley, was your straining was from getting up and down in and out of bed? or doing too much too soon? I have always worried about that from my 2003 hernia surgery, I know I strained getting up and down and ended up with a bump of something at the incision site...scar tissue? another hernia? not sure but it doesnt hurt, so I have not went back.. so with my HYSTER I was SURE I held my body straight and used a cane or chair to get in and out of bed for the first month at least...HAPPY HEALING and so sorry about your newest surgery!

stabbing vaginal pain anyone?

Hey Presouz,
It was probably from both! I did not stay still very much and was driving WAY TOO SOON. And of course I was trying to do some light housework at the end of my first week on into the second week. So yea I think it was my fault, I just wasnt aware at the time of what damage I was doing. But you know I have learned now and am trying to take it easy for the next few weeks. But thanks for asking.

I am nine days postop from a TVH. I have the same pains at least a few times a day. It is exactly the same as the way you describe it. I think it might be nerves that are healing. I plan on asking the Dr at my checkup.
