Pre-op, post-op, colds, relaxed drs, & brickwalls

Dh and I just came back from part one of my pre-op/post-op. My pathology came back clean so we are a go for Friday. This Dr has a very relaxed view of this whole thing. She has me up and doing "light house work" in two weeks. This does not include laundry or anything involving lifting. She says I'm strong and healthy, so this should go well.

highwoman,
My cold is a non-issue. She said that it will hurt when I cough afterward, but it should not be a problem for the surgery.

So, I am nowhere near as freaked out as I have been for the last few days.

Off to my next appointment....

Thanks for the response. I have my clearance visit with regular doctor on Wed so I figure he'll be the one to let me do this and hopefully by then this cold will be on it's way out of my system. I've been drinking oj, tea etc and hoping for the best!

Good luck with all your other visits! Keep us posted!

Geez, what's up with the bright red wrist band? I had one on today for pre-admission tests but they said I could cut it off but needed to bring it with me next Tuesday. Also, I'll know on Friday when my surgery is for Tuesday since Monday is President's Day and is a holiday for that surgery office. Can't believe you have doctor appt's so late in the day/night but it sounds like you are on your way.....

I think it is to let people know that I have allergies, asthma, or both.

My appointment was at 3pm. We didn't get out of the hospital till 4:30.
I'm just slow posting.
