2 yrs & pain, odor and fears
I am new to this site in a way that it was so helpful prior to my hysterectomy over 2 years ago, January 27, 2010 in which I had a TAH along with both Ovaries removed at the tender ripe age of 32. I have and continue to struggle pain from endometriosis and had cysts along with fibroids.
I fought for over 18 years to do what I could to preserve my lasting chance to have a baby, after 15 surgeries in total---my dreams were shattered that day. So now, I sit here dealing still in pain and shattered with no child to call my own.
Now, I am continuing with pain and more issues and no where to turn so I turn to you sisters in hope someone can help me?
Right now I have been dealing for quite some time with urinary issues in which I have to go frequently but nothing is really there.. Constant need to go but not much there?? Hmm... I drink a lot of water and not a lot of caffeine, if any and I do not drink?? I discussed this with my doctor awhile back and he wanted me to go to a PT person and work on my pelvic floor.. Dumb ***..
In addition to this I have this horrible odor coming from me vaginally?? What is this?? NEver in all my days has this happened to me and its embarrassing and nauseating...
Anyone help me??
I don't want to keep going but I could..So, this lost sould could use some help..
Much love from one sister to another...
Love,
NMJ

Re: 2 yrs & pain, odor and fears
I'm so sorry. You sound so frustrated and have every reason to be so. If I drink too much water I can get a bladder spasming feeling and have been told there is nothing wrong. Also I notice that if I have trapped gas it seems to dance on my bladder. Maybe because the is no uterus there to protect it? Sometimes taking GasX helps to get the gas out and them everything feels better. The PT idea maynot be that dumb. From what I've read on this site it helps a lot of people. I may be headed ther myself for other issues. The oder, I don't know. That has to be a frustrating problem.
Sending hugs and hope you find answers.

Im very sorry you have endured this.. Hugs first..
Have you been checked for a urinary tract infection?
Also, the smell you speak of may be BV (Bacterial vaginosis) have the doc do a quick swave test to see.. Simple antibiotics could clear it up..

Re: 2 yrs & pain, odor and fears
Ladies, Thank you for responding.. Thank You...
I didn't mean to sound rude about the Pelvic Floor thing... I just been through it before and tired of no answers... I have no discharge or anything.. It is weird... It is like when I trickle from urine but yet I hardly urinate? So, I suppose when I go in to see a different GYNO next week other than my 18 year relationship GYNO maybe he will have a different idea? I don't know... frustrating to say the least...
We may be looking at another surgery for all the flippin pain too... I don't even know what to think anymore... I am so sad and lost all in a day so I couldn't tell you which is worst... Arrrghhh...

I can underdtand your feelings. You go through a surgery and hope all is solved when your healed. And then there are probllems. If it was a new car you bought that didn't work right you would have recourse. But this is your body. You hurt. You didn't end up where you thought you would and there really is no way to get recouse.

**** straight woman!!! And the worst part... Is that no one really tells you the aftermath of all of it... .Not that you will still have pain.. or you feel like stuff is falling out or that your mood swings will be crazy or that you don't want to be around babies because you didn't or couldn't have any OR you feel all alone all the time.. OR...... I could keep going on and on... Just feel alone... **** THEM!

Re: 2 yrs & pain, odor and fears
May be be a dumb idea but have you talded to someone about a holistic approach to the odor. Some of the eastern disiplines do wonders with herbs and things. You can get blood work through them to see what minerals and vitamins you may need. There are probably disreputable sources of that too but a friend of mine who has had a hyster is handling her problms with menopause through a chinese herbalist.

Re: 2 yrs & pain, odor and fears
are you using topical estrogen?
when I was last at my urologist he was talking about women needing estrogen so their urinary tract among other things doesn't atrophy and how drs should be using a lot more estrogen.
