Men... go figure!!!

OK, had my 8 week Post Op check up today... FINALLY got my full release... Called DH at work and gave him the GREAT news... Told him we had a date tonite...
Well, after ALL the anticipation and excitement and the "Oh baby, I can't wait till you're released...blah, blah,blah..." I've been listening to for the past 8 weeks, he gets home and complains about the worst headache in the world... Hits the sack at 8:30 !!!!
I guess one more day won't hurt... sigh !!!!
(or maybe he's just as nervous about it as I am..)

Sorry DH was not feeling up to it. You are right, no rush, there will be other nights, and some of the best nights are the one's that are not planned.

Men... go figure!!!

Yep, sounds like nerves (even though he might actually have a headache). My hubby was so afraid to hurt me. Still is. I just reassure him that I'll let him know if he's hurting me. The more we have sex the less worried he's becoming, so give him some time. I would tell my hubby some of the good experiences I'd read on this forum and that seemed to help too. Good luck!!

Men... go figure!!!

I myself am pretty worried about getting the "full release". I will probably have a few days of the major headaches. I am really petrified about having intercourse again. It hurt so bad before.

Men... go figure!!!

Hi Nina06 my DH was very similar when we got the all clear. He came with me for my check up and was there when we were told the OK. As we came out I suggested we go buy some KY and he suggested we buy it off the internet mainly because he was too embarrassed to go into a shop to buy it and also I think to give him some more time. Just as Greeneyegrl says they are terrified of hurting us. DH has been so careful and it is getting better all the time - no pain and no bleeding and he knows I'll tell him if it hurts too (not that I've had to). Good luck on your date

Men... go figure!!!

On the day the Dr released me, she had pressed on my stomach so much during the exam that I had very bad cramping the rest of the day/night so I did not even feel like having sex . I was bummed out about it, and so was DH, but he was very understanding. However, the next night we sure made up for it….. It is worth the wait.......

Men... go figure!!!

My DH won't get into 'outercouse' very often, even when I offer or ask.

He says he wants the 'real thing' and isn't interested in anything else. He'll do for me if I ask ... but what fun is that if HE doesn't want it for him too? He is 57, so he says it's just not that important to him anymore ... but it hurts me that he doesn't 'crave' me like I do him.
