Surgery scheduled for 10-25

Hi Everyone,

I found out a this past Monday that I would be having a LAVH on 10-25. I am going for my preop info meeting tomorrow, but because of the time crunch I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions/tips to make the process easier (preop, surgery, and postop recovery)?

TIA

Hi Tia,

All you can really do is have what you need for when you get home. Some movies, books, all your favorite foods, etc.

I have a TAH/BSO on Aug. 10th. It was so much easier than I thought it would be. And I feel so good now. Everything has changed for the better. I went back to work 4 weeks later and it took that long because my boss wouldn't let me work. But my doctor said it was okay, just not full time. I am full time now and everything is so good. I wish I had this done years ago.

One more thing, I had a PCA pump and that saved me! I was ready to walk 3 hours after surgery but they made me wait 6.

Good luck and try to relax. I almost let the fear take over, not on purpose, I was became afraid more and more the closer it got.
