Swimming Pool Question

i was ok for a bath at 10 days when the stitches came at - and a leaflet i recieved advised against public pools til six week - but ok'd private pools from the first week - afterwards i realised that perhaps this info was too cautious for me as i, like you had a sah - which means no internal vaginal work - i didn't need a 6 week internal because all work could be checked from my abdomen.
- io think thats a long way of saying, have a lovely swim - at 5 weeks gentle swimming will do no harm anyway, you are mostly healed up - just stop if it hurts.

Swimming Pool Question

I started swimming fairly vigorously soon after the two-week mark. My doc said I could do whatever I felt up to. Since I got nerve damage in my foot during surgery and have difficulty walking, the pool is the only place where I feel almost normal. That helps to cheer me up. I do the breast stroke and the gentle stretch in my abdominal muscles actually feels good. The exertion helps my muscle spasms and soreness and I think exercise helps regulate my mood. I figure chlorine acts as an antibiotic agent so I don't worry about pool water producing infections. I heard it's sudden jerky movements that ought to be avoided during recovery. Being in the water helps you move in a gentle, fluid way--I think it's the best thing possible and I'd die if I couldn't do it.
