Re: Dark bloody discharge from incision

I had a TAH/BSO on May 26th. About a week later I awoke to a pool of blood and an incision that was actively bleeding....

I too have a heamatoma/seroma that split my incision and is draining.

The draining is irritating, as is the lack of healing, but I understand that it draining on it's own is the best option, versus having to have your incision opened and drained by the doctor.

Know that the draining and healing can last a couple weeks to a couple months, but that it does get better over time. For me it has only been a week and I am markedly better already.
