Excited ....have I lost it?

I have gotten over the bronchitis that has had me in bed more than out for the last week and the spring cleaning is just about done; a few more windows to wash and floors to scrub and it is done. I have the list of things to finish this week and then the preparations are over.

I am started to get really excited to get this done, I am not sure if it is he fact that it is almost over or the fact that I have so much riding on this {I feel like it is the start of a new life}.

Have I totally lost it or is this just another one of the phases we go through before we make the trek to the castle only to be carried home by our knights in shining armour???

Excited ....have I lost it?

Hi, this surgery seems to come with a full range of emotions. I never felt excitment about it myself but I had not lived with a lot of pain or problems ( that I was aware of, at least ). I did feel a hugh relief when it was over and I got my pathology report of "benign"!

Best wishes, don't forget to sneak in a bit of pre pampering - treat yourself to something that you enjoy!

Excited ....have I lost it?

From the time I was diagnosed with the fibroids, I was anxious and eager to have the surgery. And I didn't have such awful problems beforehand, just heavy periods and back pain (and urinary pressure--okay, I guess I did have problems!). I went to the hospital with great anticipation, had a positive experience while there, and my recovery has been uneventful. For me, it IS the start of a new life!

Best wishes to you.

Excited ....have I lost it?

Hi Doglover! I think I know how you feel. And I think that it's good that we feel this way. Always enjoy the good feelings while they are around. Here's a good feeling that will make you laugh.
I am feeling good because I can pass some gas. lol! No, no, not
from a hyst. I dont have an appt for that yet. It's because during
my pelvic exam my new dr actually manipulated my uterus so I could feel that my bowels were stuck to it. Well, when he did he must have made some extra space because some of the pressure back there is gone. So I'm all happy and excited because I know that after my procedure on Apr 12 when he gets those pesky adhesions, I will feel even better than I do now. And
it's all because I can pass some gas!
I hope I made you laugh!

Excited ....have I lost it?

Before I had my surgery, I thought I was a freak because I was so looking forward to this. I was never nervous or anxious, even on the morning of my surgery. Different people react differently. I know in my case, I was more than ready to end the pain! DH and I were more than done having kids. (He had a vasectomy 4 yrs ago) I am careful however, when I talk to others that have had this done because for many women, this is not a welcome thing. So no, in my opinion you are not losing it! Take care.

I don't think you've lost it at all! I too am exited about the surgery...the end of my pain is near! I'm still terrified, but looking forward to feeling better is helping me deal with my fears. Best of luck to you!

I'm excited too

I am not thrilled about surgery but I can't wait to live without pain and heavy bleeding! I hope I am not getting my hopes up too high but I feel like it will be a new beginning for me. My adeno. has run my life for too long!

not in the least

I am looking forward to mine too. The only reason that I postponed it until May is because I have a lot of loose ends to tie up!! I don't know if my husband can handle the 4 tyrants that we conceived, but I don't care. As long as I am able to "feel" my husband again without grimacing etc, is worth it.

Stay blessed

I understand!

I was excited for my surgery too. From my first period at 14 to my last period at 36 I bled A LOT! I had been so anemic for so many years and relied on at least 1 hour long nap a day just to care for my family.

I pray that your surgery and recovery will be as uneventful as mine. In fact, I felt better 5 days after surgery than I had in YEARS!!

Love and blessings,
Angie K.

Excited ....have I lost it?

I've been quite excited about the surgery myself. I go in on Tuesday. All the problems I've had in the past six months or so have interfered with my daily life. I want it back! Plus heck, I'm 44 and have no need for the plumbing anymore.

So I'm with ya! It's a good thing!
