OTC medications to help alleviate swelly belly

I saw my Dr last week and I told him I was feed up with my belly looking like I was pregnant and he asked if I had been taking any anti-inflammatories. I told him I was just taking my pain med (oxycodone) and he said take some Tylenol, Advil, Aleve or Motrin for at lest a few days and that should help a lot.

Well my huge belly is gone and my belly is almost normal size now with just 2 doses of Aleve or Tylenol a day.

I've found that ibuprofen helps my swelly belly, too. It also helps when everything is feeling extra tender inside but isn't really painful.

Thank you for the really helpful info.

I read this post yesterday and immediately ran to the medicine cab to see if we had any tylenol, (usually keep some on hand). I took one last night and one this morning and I am feeling less swolen already

By the by does anyone know when swelly belly goes away for good? I'm at 7 weeks and still swell.

You're the BEST!!

6 months to 1 year is when I am expecting it to go away. I have really heard up to a year cuz your body is still healing in there. Best wishes.
