Urine leakage

I had my LATH on the 19th. I have two children and never had any urine leakage before surgery. I stayed in the hospital for two days due to bloody urine. Now that I am home I have to wear a pad because of leakage, and no warning at all. I also have had NO vaginal bleeding, and I thought I would, is this normal too? I am supposed to return to work (at the hospital I had surgery at) on Sat. and Sunday, and I just don't know if I am ready. I see the doc tomorrow to have my stitches removed. I could sleep all day and am afraid I will fall asleep at work or worse not do my job correctly! I also have pains right below my left ribcage, like a side ache. I have probably been doing too much trying to get better to go back to work and have probably made the problem worse. Any advise or past experience would be greatly appreciated! I just found this site tonight and I wish I would have found it prior to surgery!

Re: Urine leakage

Klag -

I am sorry to hear you are having issues and that you just found us. However I'm glad that you are her.

It isn't unusual not to have bleeding, you might have some ligth pink spotting or discharge or very minimal bleeding.

Did you Dr. check you out? Did he / she find anything?

The pains under your rib cage could be that you are doing too much or it could be the CO2 that they inject inside of you during a laproscopic surgery trying to work its way out.

We generally say 2/4 to 6/8 weeks for initial recvoery with full recovery going 6 to 12 months.
